An informational meeting was held on Thursday, November 17th at 7:00 pm at the townhall. Stephen Grittman of Northwest Associated Consultants presented a brief overview of the project along with some maps to help visualize the various land uses existing in the township. The area around the lake and the river is currently managed by Pine County under the County Shorelands Ordinance. Outside of the shorelands, there is currently no zoning in the township. The townboard adopted a 1 year moratorium in April of 2022 for the purposes of developing a potential township zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan. This meeting was one of many steps in that process. The township will update this website and our Facebook page as additional meetings are scheduled.
